Roofing
Flat and low-slope roofs are the Chicago standard, and they fail at the parapet, the scupper and the seam long before the field wears out. We install modified bitumen and single-ply membrane systems, rebuild flashing where the roof meets masonry, and fit GAF shingle systems on the pitched roofs and dormers where they belong.
Siding
Plenty of Chicago houses are masonry in front and frame everywhere else, and the side walls facing a narrow gangway are the ones that take the water. We install James Hardie fiber cement, LP SmartSide and insulated vinyl on those elevations, and correct the flashing at window heads and roof-to-wall junctions while the wall is open.
Gutters
City lots leave nowhere for water to go, so a blocked downspout ends up in the gangway or against the neighbor’s foundation. We install seamless aluminum gutters in 5-inch and 6-inch, rebuild rotted fascia before hanging them, and route downspouts to discharge where the water can actually drain.

Wind coming off the lake hits city rooftops without much shelter, and on a flat roof it peels membrane back at the edge before anything else gives. We inspect the full roof after a storm, dry the building in, and document the damage properly for your insurance claim.
